Akasha Apothecary and the Renegade Apothecary Project Move in!

Earlier this year, while the whole town of Boulder Creek was evacuated, Alissa Maya from Akasha Apothecary started the Renegade Apothecary Project to gather together herbal remedies from near and far to aid in supporting those impacted by the fires.  She put together wellness boxes and started distributing them from the Museum of Art & History (MAH) in Santa Cruz.  I (Jen) was super excited about this project and set out to meet Alissa in person and see if we could bring these boxes direct to Boulder Creek once we were able to come back.

Alissa and I set up a meeting as soon as we could at Aum Herbs an decided not only to bring the wellness boxes to 125 Forest Street, but we began talks and quickly moved to deciding to share the space.  So Akasha has moved in and Alissa is still running the Renegade Project -which she has now also fully moved from the MAH to here.

Alissa has brought so many great makers to the space, along with her own stellar body, womb and facial care line.  If you haven't checked out Aum Herbs recently, it's worth coming in to see all of the new medicine, craft and gift items.  Alissa has an eye for design so has truly made the space with our combined businesses super special.

Signage out front still says Aum Herbs for now, but it's a whole new place with Akasha taking over 1/2 the space.  We feel super excited about this collaboration, which only brings even more quality medicine and goods to Boulder Creek.

Wellness boxes continue to be available and are planned for the long haul - because recovery will take some time.  If you need one - come on by!
